Key information

Place of Origin:Guafengzhai (National Protected Forest)

Weight per glass tube:100g

Overall Experience:Sweet and refined, aged gushu characteristics (slightly medicinal, uplifting heavy mouthfeel and many tropical, camphoric aromas) Strong body feel.

Vintage:2007 Spring

“Prior to 2010, all puerh (both ripened and raw teas) was able to be imported, but after 2010 the government became more strict and only ripe puerh was able to be imported. This 2007 Yiwu Guafengzhai loose tea is probably one of the first batches of Guoyoulin (National Protected Forest) loose teas, and because the old trees in the forests were rarely picked, this batch contains a lot of big leaves. After 6 years of aging, the tea soup is now amber orange in color with a very obvious note of plum and wild florals. Excellent throat-feel with potent cha-qi. Because of the good seal the tea had in storage, the dry tea has notes of wild honey and the leaves are glossy. Definitely a difficult tea to obtain.
- Tony Chen, 2013

This tea was collected by Mr Chen in 2007 and stored in our warehouse since then. Excellent tea, rich in flavor (incense, plum and other tropical notes) and mouthfeel with obvious tea energy. This tea comes from old trees within Guafengzhai (located in Yiwu) and teas of this level are now hard to come by.”
