”Ripe puerh might be a tea that a lot of Puerh tea lovers are familiar with but also a tea that many collectors refuse to drink. The reason many are hesitant is due to the hygiene issues related to its processing. Poorly fermented ripe puerh is often covered in bad bacteria and may have a potent smell; however, good quality ripes are completely different and have fascinating aromatics of glutinous rice, lotus, chocolate and light florals. To produce a fantastic ripe, the original tea materials and the water must be of excellent quality and the techniques used by the fermentation master must be done correctly. Of courses, the fermentation season is also relevant.
While shengs prevailed, ripes were slowly being forgotten. Now as Xizihao produces qiaomu material ripes fermented using Baishajing spring water with the help of Master Zhao, a formal fermentation master of the Menghai Tea Factory, we embody ripe craftsmanship and quality!
Tea is meant for drinking. Let us make ripe teas fantastic again!“
